First post! [Introduction to game]



Dystopia Dungeon is a new side project I've started working on and is focused on a future cyberpunk dystopia world! After playing around with a few game mechanics, I decided to go with some sneak/stealth mechanics where you avoid enemy visions and work your way around them and try to avoid being spotted without raising too much suspicion.
This project is still in its early days and I intend to add more features as I go along. I currently have a robo drone type enemy that moves and tracks players in its vision cone and a cctv camera which is obviously static but can also track the player if it goes inside their side-to-side movement vision area. The mobs are basically just avoid their vision, but the cameras you have to be more strategic and move between objects that block the cameras vision cone. If you stay in camera vision area for too long, this will raise suspicion to max and all camera cones will turn red and follow player. This mechanic is kind of influenced from the old school classic game Metal Gear Solid......although I'll never make anything to that level of quality haha!
From here, I'm still playing with ideas on where to go with this game. But I do have some ideas I'd like to try soon to make this game fun and genuinely enjoyable so watch this space!
